but in order to understand why you have to understand a lil about black nationalism.

Black Nationalism is a movement to unite black peoples all over the world in an effort to uplift our people and take control of our destinies as opposed to being victimized by white supremacy.

Now the key here is white supremacy(you may know it as racism). A black nationalist knows that this country still espouses a white supremacist ideology. Evidence of white supremacy can be seen in the uproar over Obama's speech to the students, can be seen in the town hall meetings discussing health care, can be seen in white privilege in addition to well known events like slavery, massive resistance, Jim crow things, et al. A black nationalist knows this country still espouses white supremacy because it was created that way. That it is built into the very fabric that formed this nation and even though laws have passes to create equality that traditions, ideas and thought processes that make up and sustain white supremacy are still passed down from parent to child knowingly and unknowingly.

(i use the term know instead of believe or thinks because regardless of who you are this is the truth)

So if Black people are the victims of white supremacy then the benficiaries of white supremacy are white people. Now this is where much of this conflict arises. Many white people do not & will not sincerely make an attempt to understand how they have been at the very least unwittingly profiting from the oppression of black people.

And as a member of the oppressed group it is difficult for me to occupy the same space with a white person who insists im being paranoid rather then step outside of what they think. I dont hate or dislike white people. What i do hate is oppression and if an individual is willful tool of that oppression, or a tool of that oppression because of their own ignorance i dont wanna be around them.

And trust me im one nice ones. I know brothers and sisters who simply feel white people cant be trusted, and given the pervasiveness of white supremacy and many white folks unwillingnesss to learn and complacency with system that benefits them but oppresses others

So although i do not agree that all white people are bad...i understand why some of my brothers and sisters do feel that way.

Now of all the white people i know i can name 4 that i know would stand side by side with me and fight...not march, not protest, but fight and be soldiers.

So can a black nationalist like a white person. Yes but its gonna take the White person to understand the reality of this world and seek to do something about it.
