For Aiyana

Somedays i feel like i dont deserve to have fun

Still kinda trippin over this 7 year old with a gunshot

Wound in her head which was supposed to be her neck

but we know haow the police are they generally dont fact check

no no no not over no black death

rather sweep it under the rug put all that to rest

Im smart enough to expect it cuz the evil i can detect it

But the babies, they supposed to be protected

Once again we neglected; talking about "what imma do"

But talking didnt pan out of my brother Amadou

New York City Nineteen ninety nine

So many black before and Aiyana latest behind

And let us not forget about our brother Jerean

Who died by our hands the insecurity of another man

Who aint like his look so his life he took

And so did we cuz we too shook

Too shocked too scared higher vision impaired

And all we need is for black people to care

About how to want what we need how to protect our see

First things first we gotta understand we are WE; I AM YOU

This is true and i wish we'd catch a clue

Before them boys in blue take another from me and you
