It ironic in away cuz as much as he tries to distance himself from being black. Sure turns out that he's being portrayed as a stereotypical black athlete.
Which lets you know that no matter how far you go when something happens ur just a black man.

i dont think it has anything to do with him being a typical BLACK athlete...I think he tries to distance himself from everyone....the man just doesn't want anything tarnishing his name and much more what he's worked so hard for his status and career...He has million dollar endorsements, I wouldn't want a bad text message to screw that up...at least that's I take from it...
