Im bring this up to say this. Much of the money that black people makes does not stay in the hands of black people. And when it does it is traditionally in the church which simply does not have the technical expertise to build the necessary infrastructure that is going to allow for the black community to rise.
Yes, we black people have to have their own infrastructure. The current infrastructure was built w/o the intention of black people ever being apart of it. Its one of the many functions of White privilege. The arrive to the world best equipped to make use the current structure.
Its not a mistake that as of 2007
98.3% of Airline Pilots are white
95.6% of Dentists are white
93.9% of Authors are white
93.8% of Lawyers are white
91.9% of Economists are white
90.6% or Architects are white
the current infrastructure doesn't support us because it was built ON us. literally and figuratively. Thus the solution is managing your finances in such away that it supports your people as opposed to the pre-existing structures.
I mean you can spend money on ppv fight, you can spend it on the club, you can spend it on supporting something that is to produce some light.

Finally! Okay... *bounces up and down in excitement* To me, this only means WE NEED MORE BLACK DOCTORS! WE NEED MORE BLACK LAWYERS! WE NEED MORE BLACK ARCHITECTS! BLACK DENTISTS! BLACK AUTHORS!
Reason One: That's where the demand, and the money is! These careers are for the few "chosen" people who dared to take the challenge. Regardless of race. I've seen that most people pick a major because they heard it was "easier" than another major.
Reason Two: How can anybody heal, speak, defend, or build for US but US?
Enough said...
Reason Three: If we start with ourselves, our children will follow!
