Nappy Headed Black Child

so im in class today right and something happens.

a secretary from the physics department across the hall from my 9 am class peaks inside our class (while we were on a break cuz its 3 hr class) drops a rather snippy note on the desk saying the class and movies were too loud and asked him to respect the other tenants of the building....needless dude was pissed.

in his eyes he feels like ole girl challenged his right to conduct his class as see fit and by not approaching him directly and complaining to a student. Now we are reading his book called Learning While Black. Now he offers the proposition that because she teaches physics which is forumlas and math and stuff like that and her concept of what learning is our method is playing and not learning. Insulting our pedagogy if you will lol (class inside joke).

so he went and close their door cuz it was open and she was on facebook.

now if it was me. i would have read the note and kept it pushing. But by not adressing it as an exercise of power and an assualt on my authority would i be sending the signal that i can be controlled. Hmm...just some things to think about
