The thought that Sotomayor is a racist is just foolish but in politics its popular to say those things to mobilize the republican dumb vote and frankly aint much the republicans can do with this one they dont hold a majority in either house so they just trying to mobilize public opinion. But what has really been getting to me is that all i been hearing is that is sotomayor is different can the american people deal with here being different. Like I waiting for someone to just come out and say they dont want her to be confirmed becasue shes a latina and shes gonna automatically align gonna favor anything minority and not respect the rule of law. The point of having a pick such as Sotomayor is to bring balance. Im not gonna even get started on the qualifications becasuse Sotomayor is better qualified coming in than any of the other current justices. People of Color in high places is very disconcerting to the general public it seems. Just watch for the bullshit cuz you know its coming.

In reference to the comment about Sotomayor's experience as a latina. That comment is not racist because the voice of her people is not represented on the supreme court bench. Of course it would be offensive for a white man to say that becuase the supreme court is with a few exceptions all white and male. that does not represent the entire country. The supreme court is a body that decides justice for everyone is not representative of everyone and it is somehow wrong for a persons with varied cultural backrounds and economic status to cite their break from the dominant culture as strengh.
