McCain also blames earmarking and porkbarrel spending and overall spending. He says he's gonna veto every spending bill....Hits Obama for 130 million of earmarking process

Obama said its been abused and suspended his own use of it untill it got cleaned up. Talks about 300 billion in tax cuts to rich as opposed to 18 billion of earmarking. Tax cut for 95% of families.

McCain says the 800 million in new spending w/ Obama. Wants to cut business tax to keep business here. Still on that porkbarrell ish. Challenges obama's defintion of rich. Makes statements about Obama's Senate record.(which doesnt mean anything)

Obama say tax breaks to the people and companies that provide jobs here and better heathcare. As well as exposing McCain tax breaks to the rich. Obama says <250,000>

Im giving the edge to Obama thus far he has made at least 2 uncontested points and specifics about what he wants to do and McCain has been down right vague or agreed with Obama.

Obama say as result of the economy the priorities will be Energy Independce in 10yrs by alternative energy and home production. Fix healthcare system says avg deductable is up 30% invest in education so kids can keep pace and help folk in college. And strengthen the infrastructure. Lol at George Bush's Wrong Headed strategies. Wants to get savings in bring Iraq to a close as well as wasteful programs. 

McCain cut spending and obama is gonna spend alot second time he's gone there. Wants to cut wasteful defense spending fixed cost contracts. Go thru government agency by agency. Against subsidies. Speaks about putting people in jail for wasteful spending. Advocates a spending freeze on everything but vital ish like Defense and veterans affairs.

Obama said no to Iraq becasue of Afganistan wasnt done, lack of intelligence, damage to diplomacy. Basically said we have to use military wisely that was not done Iraq. And goes on attack about all the wrongs about shit in Iraq. Says give Iraq back his country so we can deal with afghanistan.

McCain Philly Shell'd the hell out of the Afghanistan btw. But basically cosigns Iraq. And says Obama cut funding for troops. (Obama voted against it as a result of the timetable issue)

Obama: Says yes and immediately and been saying so for about a yr. 2 or 3 additonal brigades. Makes the point that Al Quaida/Taliban wasnt in Iraq before we went in. Put pressure on Afghan government to handle Business and deal with pakistan. Said McCain said he would make N. Korea EXTINCT as well as bombing Iran after McCain said Obama has announce his plans to bomb Iran if they dont cooperate which was HYPERBOLE. Said McCain was less than concerned about McCain

McCain: Iran with nukes is bad for everyone because everyone in the region is gonna wanna get some as far as defense. Not to mention threat to Israel. League of Democracies to put crippling economic sanctions on Iran. They are sending people to Iraq with IEDs

Obama: War in Iraq has strengthened Iran. Cant tolerate Nuclear Iran. Tougher Sanctions but need direct diplomacy.

McCain said sitting down with people w/o preconditions would legitimize their actions.

Obama: said one of your adviors said lets meet w/o preconditions. as well as the Bush Admin. and said McCain wouldn't potentially meet with Spain.....SPAIN MY NIGGA (im factchecking that on)

Obama: Our apporach to russia needs to change. Their agressiveness is making them a threat. Enforce the cease fire in Georgia. Get them in NATO and help the democracies in the area. However can't go back to Cold War Posture either.

McCain: Says Russia is KGB run point blank period. We need to bolster our allies and it was all oil motivated. Said the looked into Putin eyes thing. Says Russia in violation of many cease fire stuff. Want to work with them But they need to behave. Get Ukraine and Georgia in NATO.

Obama: we gotta anticipate some of the things that are going on. We gotta have energy strategies do deal with these cats as well. Alternative energy stuff over next 10 years.

I think Obama had the upper hand for much of this. He was more specific and detailed. McCain seemed to get upset several times and repeat himself.

The differences are apparent. And they didnt do a bad job. If you agree with McCain you came away liking it and in vise versa for Obama. They played to their guns well.
